New exciting things on the horizon!
Hello, everyone! I know it’s been a while since I posted and I’m sorry for that. I’ve been so busy lately trying to get Bittersweet ready for release in October. It’s finally with the editor and while I wait for my notes to come back I’m working on my next project.
Last year I wrote a dystopian after a dream I had about it and wrote it in 9 days because I was afraid to lose the story. So, I didn’t have much time to get to know my characters or the world I’d created for them. Now, I’m working on the sequel and I’m getting a lot of new information as I work my way through. Hopefully it will help me when I go back to do edits on the first.
On top of that, I’ve been working on plot outlines and timelines for a couple of time travel stories. I’ve had the ideas in my head for a few years, so I’m really glad to be working on stories for them.
On top of my own work, I have an author releasing a book in November. The final book in J.A. Howell’s Love & Ink series, An Ache in My Veins, is releasing November 3. If you haven’t read the series, there will be links below for you to check the books out.
I am in the process of creating a marketing strategy (tedious and boring, but necessary) and making sure I have time to write everything that I want to write. I have a couple series’ that need to be finished and new ones that I’ve started that I want to have time to write without feeling guilty that I have other series’ to finish. lol
So, I’m going to get back to work and I’m going to work harder to keep this blog up.
Books releasing this year:
Bittersweet (October 15, 2016)
She’d reconciled her life without him. His return would be bittersweet.
Welcome to Mother Cora’s, where the offspring of the Kaveesh learn to coexist with humans.
One hundred and twenty years ago, the Kaveesh came to Earth to save the dying planet from a disease that gorged itself on anything in its wake. Buildings crumbled to dust. Soil and plant life were consumed. Two-thirds of the Earth’s population perished.
The only thing the Kaveesh asked in return was to help save their dying race. Breeding programs began and the half-breeds were born.
Lirabel is a half-breed and an overachiever. Despite a few setbacks, she’s scheduled to graduate early from Mother Cora’s and become the Half-breed Ambassador to the Humans.
Enter Jonas. They were best friends until he broke her heart and disappeared five years ago. Now, he’s back, but Lirabel couldn’t care less. There are more important things to worry about…
Like finishing her last year of school and becoming ambassador. Or the half-bred students losing control of their Kaveesh strengths and being sent into quarantine. Or how the breeding programs that were supposed to have ended are still up and running.
And somehow, Jonas’ bittersweet return is connected to it all.
