Review

This novella is book 2.5 in the series. As I haven’t read the first two (I got about 30% into the second before realizing I was reading the second), I was completely lost, as I was with Justice, book two in the series.

So, my confusion aside, here is my review. Paille is a STRONG writer and her fantasy is so well planned out it makes me a little bit jealous. (Author envy anyone?) Even though I didn’t understand everything that was going on, I WANTED to. I really wanted to be part of this world and understand what the Ferryman was and what the Flames were. (Side note: I DLed Surrender, the first in this series, back in January, I just didn’t know it until today because I was going to DL and start reading…ha! Also, it’s available on Amazon for free DL at the time I’m writing this post. Click here.)

I wish Paille had put more alludes back to the previous stories so I could have at least had an idea of what was going on. Also, there are a LOT of points of view in this story and I felt if there had only been a few, it might have been a little easier to follow.

Other than that, I can’t wait to get a chance to sit down with book one and start at the beginning!!
