Possess My Heart is the third installment of J.A. Howell’s Possess Saga and maybe even my favorite.

After everything that’s happened in Midtown with Harley and Nolan and Ghost Brody, Aggie’s former love, Aggie is starting to feel a little left out and depressed, and it shows. Her uncle Angus and Nolan decide to send her to Scotland to spend the summer with her family. At first, she’s pissed. Why would they send her away if they love her so much?

When she gets to Scotland, the first person she meets is Camden, the half-naked, kilted, drunk lead of a Scottish band called The Wet Willies. Camden is arrogant, rude, sweaty, and just a little too smooth. Until he sobers up and tries to apologize, but Aggie will have none of it. Camden spends the summer trying to break into Aggie’s frozen heart, while Brody continues to haunt her and make it impossible for her to move on. The harder she fights her attraction for Camden, the harder Brody haunts until weird, dangerous things start to happen.

Like I said, this one is probably my favorite of the series so far. Aggie is a fiery piece of work and Camden is the only person who has been able to handle her. Not to mention, Grant, Aggie’s Scottish cousin, is my all time FAVORITE of J.A.’s characters! This one is a must read. It can almost stand alone from the other two in the series. I say almost, because once you read it, you’ll want to read the others.

Review

After reading Possess, I was sooo glad Howell wrote The Untimely Death of Brody. Even though we find out who his killer was, I was intrigued find out the whole story. Brody was full of betrayal and I actually cried when I got to the end. Once again, Howell blew me away with her story telling and ability to emotionally tie me to her fictional characters.
